Playfield is a young theater collective which examines the tension between actor and spectator. From the first invitation to participation onwards, the unscripted dialogue between the audience and the actors as well as the collective experience are important for the spectators perception. The success of a performance therefore lies not only in the hands of its creators, the spectators are equally responsible in this matter. The necessity of the work lies in the accelerating decline of physical social contact through the opportunities that digitization offer us today. playField. explores this tension by putting the spectator central in a design which combines scenography and art. The artistic core consists of Tim De Paepe, Marthe Schneider and Lana Schneider.
